Track 1: Ravel Quartet in F Major – Arden String Quartet
Recorded in a church sanctuary – SonoPak was on the floor in front of the first pew. This was a memorial service, and use of traditional recording equipment would have been objectionable.

Track 2: Barachois
Barachois is a lively Acadian band from Prince Edward Island. This house concert was recorded with the SonoPak placed on a high shelf about half way down the room on one side.

Track 3: Dominican Republic
We ran across some kitchen workers on break entertaining themselves and introduced ourselves. We left the SonoPak in their vicinity and came back later so as not to interrupt them. When they heard the results they were thrilled.

Track 4: Haydn Sonata in C Major.
Recorded on an antique restored German piano ca. 1830. The SonoPak was hung from a corner of the front pew about 20 feet from the piano.

Track 5 and Track 6: Mozart Mass in C Minor – Newton Choral Society
This remarkable recording was made with the SonoPak on the choir loft railing. The Choral Society regularly records their performances using a multi-mic setup with lots of wires and stands, but the results do not approach the immediacy and fullness of this recording. Bonus Choral track!

Track 7: Loons on Kezar Lake
Taken from the porch of a lake cottage – the loons were about 300 feet away.

Track 8: Roger and Carol in the kitchen
SonoPak was lying on the kitchen table. Recorder: M-Audio Microtrack at 44.1, 16bit.

Track 9: Little Red
From a children’s show – music adapted from Rossini and Offenbach. The SonoPak with Minidisc was on the floor under a chair in the first row.

Track 10 : Sheep in Wales
While driving along a country road in Wales, we can upon the most bizarre symphony we have ever heard. Are they sheep, or people pretending to be sheep?

Track 11 : Irish Players at the Burren, Somerville MA
Just another spontaneous night of Irish music at the Burren. SonoPak was on a bar table 20 feet from the musicians.
